This is a washing station in Ituri, the North East of Congo, close to the border with Uganda. In 2017, for the very first time, they started to produce and export specialty coffee. A very small lot, just 15 bags, that means a really unique coffee drinking experience. The area here is indeed one of the best to grow coffee in the world: a combination of altitude, sun, humidity and rich soil create ideal conditions to produce world-class coffee. This particular lot feature high acidity and very distinct fruity with delicious hints of mandarin orange and stone fruit.
